Practices & Travel

Throughout the season, Tuiga, the Monaco Yacht Club’s sailing yacht, alternates between training sessions at sea, participating in regattas, and making promotional visits. This structured program allows the crews to train while ensuring the yacht’s presence at major classic yachting events in the Mediterranean and around the world.

Training sessions at sea

Training sessions aboard the Tuiga and Argynne III are essential for crew preparation. Conducted under real sailing conditions, these sessions allow crews to practice maneuvers, sail adjustments, and on-board coordination.

Each outing covers the key stages of sailing: preparation at the dock, setting sail, sailing under sail, and returning to port. Crew members thus develop their reflexes, their ability to read the wind, and their capacity to sail as a team on a classic sailboat. These training sessions aim to build cohesive and high-performing crews for regattas.

Regattas & Performances

Tuiga’s voyages revolve around international regattas and promotional events. The yacht participates in major classic yachting events, where performance, precision, and team spirit are at the heart of the sailing experience.

At the same time, Tuiga also attends major events related to the maritime, cultural, and institutional worlds. These promotional stops allow the yacht to fly the colors of the Yacht Club de Monaco and showcase the heritage of classic yachting on the international stage.

Each voyage is a sailing experience in its own right, encompassing transits, regatta preparation, and participation in events. These phases at sea enhance the crews’ experience and ensure continuity between training and performance.
