Tuiga, a living heritage of classic yachting

Launched in 1909, Tuiga is one of the most emblematic classic yachts still sailing today. Designed by William Fife III and built by W. Fife & Son, this exceptional sailing yacht embodies the elegance, performance and exacting standards of great classic yachting. Belonging to the original 15 Metre class, it holds a unique place in the history of maritime heritage.

Since 1995, Tuiga has belonged to the Yacht Club de Monaco, of which it became the flagship yacht. Still active at sea, it is far more than a historic vessel: Tuiga continues to sail, race and keep alive a nautical tradition founded on transmission, craftsmanship and excellence.

An exceptional yacht with a unique heritage

Tuiga is far more than an antique sailing yacht. She embodies an art of designing for the sea, from an era when a yacht’s beauty went hand in hand with her performance under sail. Her fine lines, balanced silhouette and gaff rig give her an immediately recognisable presence, as striking at anchor as she is under way. Preserved with the utmost care and maintained in respect of her identity, Tuiga has passed through the ages without losing any of her aesthetic power. Her history, rarity and fidelity to the spirit of classic yachting make her today a major reference in the international maritime heritage.

Tuiga and Monaco, a shared maritime culture

Within the Yacht Club de Monaco, Tuiga holds an emblematic place. Her acquisition reflected a strong commitment: to preserve a masterpiece of classic yachting while allowing her to continue sailing. This dimension is essential, as it makes Tuiga a living heritage, rooted in action rather than memory alone. At sea and at major nautical gatherings, Tuiga carries the image of Monaco and extends the Principality’s attachment to its maritime traditions. Her presence at regattas and prestigious events makes her a true ambassador of the Yacht Club de Monaco and of the Monégasque nautical art of living.

Technical Specifications

Beneath her timeless appearance, Tuiga is a true performance yacht. Gaff-cutter rigged, she has an overall length of 27.36 metres, a beam of 4.15 metres, a draught of 2.8 metres and a total sail area of 420.305 m². These proportions reveal a yacht that is at once slender, powerful and demanding, designed for classic racing.
